Fukuta, J., Nishimura, Y., & Tamura. Y. (2023). Pitfalls of production data analysis for investigating L2 cognitive mechanism: An ontological realism perspective. Journal of Second Language Studies, 6, 95–118. https://doi.org/10.1075/jsls.21013.fuk
論文用のプロファイルでは,たとえば「mightをmayより好む」「Looking at Table X, … In spite of these limitations, the study does add to…”
Critical Commentary. These manuscripts are shorter essays (i.e., non-empirical) motivated by current theory and issues in second and subsequent language acquisition or heritage language acquisition, including methodological issues in research design and issues related to the context of learning. Maximum length is 6,000 words all-inclusive (i.e., abstract, text, tables, figures, references, notes, and appendices intended for publication).
Research notes are short reports and discussion papers of interest to the Second Language Research community. Research notes also include original research and follow the same outline as above but should be highly focused on one specific question related to SLA. Research notes may include replications of previously published studies.
*Brief articles must report original empirical findings, major theoretical advances, or crucial developments that warrant rapid communication to the developmental linguistics community. As in the main section of the journal, manuscripts on all areas of language acquisition are welcome and will be selected on the basis of sound argumentation, theoretical evidence, and methodological rigor. A submission to the Brief Articles section should conform to the same requirements as an article with the following exceptions: The manuscript should not exceed 15 double-spaced pages, including footnotes and references. Inclusion of experimental materials is not required in the manuscript, but it is recommended that published articles make their materials available for review on the world wide web.
